ALL WATERBORNE TRANSPORT, LOGISTICS AND MARITIME SERVICES AT A GLANCE

At Rederij de Jong, our extensive fleet is at your service for all your waterborne transport. We have a large variety of barges, push boats and ships, from 250 tons to a pusher convoy of 16,000 tons. In combination with our logistics and maritime services, we take care of everything related to your transport over inland waterways, along the coast and by sea. From chartering, transport and stock management to storage & transhipment, inspections and permits, we’ve got you covered. Our area of operations extends from Western Europe to the rest of the world.

INLAND NAVIGATION AND CHARTERING

We alleviate our customers’ worries with services such as transhipments, chartering and supply chain management. With our motorized vessels (from 400 to 1,000 tons), we transport dry cargoes over the canals and rivers of Western Europe (including cocoa beans, animal feed, grains, fertilisers, minerals, salt, sugar, steel products and wood pellets). This is done on both contract and spot basis. We also handle large constructions from start to finish, including the transport of complex structures such as wind turbines and bridge sections. We also charter motorized vessels from partners. Because you can achieve more together!

PUSH BOATS AND -BARGES

Our extensive fleet varies from large 5300-ton barges to the ‘small’ 1700-ton barges, with and without hatches. Perfect for floating storage, bulk, biomass and special transports. The closed barges transport, among other things, animal feed, grains, fertilizer, steel products and wood chips. The open barges transport coal, building materials, dredge spoil and project shipments. With our push boats, we push the barges in convoys of up to four at a time over the inland waterways of Western Europe. We also push barges and pontoons for third parties. Of course, we also provide floating storage, stock management and storage & transhipment for our customers if required.

COASTAL AND MARITIME SHIPPING

For coastal and maritime shipping, Rederij de Jong has its own in-house specialist: C-Shipping & Logistics. Our team of experienced chartering brokers operates worldwide, in ‘greater Europe’, but also within the Netherlands. C-Shipping works quickly and efficiently when it comes to taking actions and making decisions, and it responds to situations effectively and gives valuable advice. In short, C-Shipping is your business partner for chartering, forwarding and agency services in coastal and maritime shipping.
